ARTIST STATEMENT ​

Through color and design, texture and collage, I seek to bring materials to life. My imagination and childlike spirit help me to find the “magical” dimension of my surroundings in order to preserve their mystery.
I go “gathering sensations” (cf. Matisse) both in nature and in selective sorting to uncover the unusual, the strange, the wonderful.
I use painting and collage, realism and abstraction, which leads me to explore both figuration and recycling.
